Redrow Homes Ltd is pleased to present proposals for Parcel 1, in Alkerden South at Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The proposals are for around 230 new homes (including houses and apartments) within a landscaped setting, with new homezones, footpaths and cycleways to create a new high quality residential area.
The site has outline planning consent and lies within a much larger mixed use development area covering Eastern Quarry.
Redrow welcome your comments on our proposals as we aim to submit a reserved matters planning application for the site in Spring 2021.
The site
The site is located in Alkerden South, Eastern Quarry.
It is 4 hectares in size (redline).
It is currently undeveloped.
The proposals will take advantage of views over the lake to the south.
The site slopes to the south.
Significant earthworks are required to prepare the site for development.
The proposals are in accordance with the outline planning permission for Eastern Quarry and associated approved plans and strategies.
Redrow have undertaken pre-application discussions with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Kent County Council over the last 18 months.

THE PROPOSALS
The site forms part of the approved masterplan covering Eastern Quarry.
The Eastern Quarry outline planning permission is for up to 6,250 new homes, new businesses, retail, education, sports and leisure, health centres, care facilities, places of worship etc.
This means that the site will be in close walking distance to new parks, play areas, open spaces, sports facilities, schools, GPs, shops and community facilities.
Fastrack service to be operational from 2023.
